Low-stakes changes
Being in a rut is annoying; feeling stuck in the rut is worse. There are some tricks I use that I feel help me.
Being offline changes help me more. If I go online, I’ll just procrastinate.
Dress up nicer
You can be as fancy as you like! When I’m in a rut I find my clothing standard drops a bit. Just switching to a shirt helps me feel a bit better.
Browse cookbooks
No, you don’t have to make the meal.
Make a note of some new technique for an old dish. Or some new combination of flavours.
Or browse any books
I have a shelf dedicated to books I might like to read soon.

Mindless doodling really helps me. Be free to throw them away.
